Insights from Aakash Chopra Mayank Yadav, known for his amazing speed, made a splash in the Indian T20I team after just four IPL games. Fans had high hopes for his debut against Bangladesh, hoping to see him unleash his trademark pace. However, he fell short of the 150 kph mark, clocking in between 135 and 148 kph during the match.

In the previous IPL season, the 22-year-old had reached a remarkable speed of 156.7 kph, raising hopes. Former India opener Aakash Chopra offered insights into Yadav's performance, attributing his careful approach to his recent recovery from injury.

“Mayank kicked off with great energy, delivering an over without conceding any runs,” Chopra observed in a YouTube clip. “Having taken a break for four months because of an injury, it’s only natural for him to feel a bit anxious. He wasn’t fully letting loose with his pace, as his main concern was maintaining his fitness.”

Chopra emphasized that although Yadav might have held back a bit, he still showcased remarkable precision and talent. “He wasn’t aiming for speeds of 150-160 kph; instead, he focused on his physical condition and consistency. You could certainly see the promise he holds, setting the stage for a bright future in his career.”

In his debut, Yadav gave an impressive display, finishing with figures of 4 overs, 21 runs, and 1 wicket. India grabbed a 7-wicket win, taking the lead in the three-match series. The next match will be held at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Wednesday, where fans hope to see a more free Mayank Yadav.
