In a move aimed at bolstering their bowling attack, the Indian cricket team has added all-rounder Washington Sundar to their squad for the remaining two Test matches of New Zealand tour of India. Sundar will join the team ahead of the second Test, which is scheduled to begin in Pune.

The decision comes on the heels of India's disappointing eight-wicket loss in the first Test against the Kiwis in Bengaluru. The team's batting performance, particularly in the first innings, was a major concern, and Sundar's inclusion is seen as a strategic move to provide additional depth and balance to the squad.

Sundar's presence in the squad could potentially lead to a rotation between him and Axar Patel, another all-rounder who has been warming the bench recently. Both players offer similar skill sets, and the team management will need to carefully assess their options based on the conditions and the specific requirements of each match.

With the series level at 1-0, India will be eager to bounce back and avoid a series defeat against New Zealand. The Kiwis, on the other hand, will be looking to capitalize on their momentum and secure a historic series win in India.
