Former Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni recently opened up about his life following his retirement, expressing contentment with his decision to step away from international cricket.

NO REGRETS: DHONI’S PEACEFUL POST-RETIREMENT LIFE

In a candid conversation on the Eurogrip Tyres YouTube channel, Dhoni shared, "I thought I would have more time, but unfortunately, I haven’t had as much as I anticipated. I don’t miss international cricket because I believe that once a decision is made, there's no point in dwelling on it. I am truly happy with everything I was able to achieve for my country, all thanks to God's grace."

CONTINUING TO LEAD: DHONI'S ONGOING IPL SUCCESS WITH CHENNAI SUPER KINGS

Since announcing his retirement on August 15, 2020, Dhoni has embraced life outside the international cricket spotlight. Despite stepping away from the national team, he continues to shine in the Indian Premier League (IPL), where he has led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to five title victories.

At 43, Dhoni remains a vital part of CSK, having been retained for Rs 4 crore ahead of the IPL 2025 auction.

A PASSION FOR MOTORCYCLES AND FAMILY TIME: DHONI’S NEWFOUND JOYS

Reflecting on his post-cricket life, Dhoni shared, "It’s been enjoyable. I’ve had the chance to spend more time with my friends and family. I also get to indulge in my passion for motorcycles—though not for long distances anymore—that’s something very special to me. It’s been great spending quality time with my family, and my daughter keeps asking when I’ll be back."

A LEGACY OF TRIUMPH: DHONI’S ICONIC CAREER AND ACHIEVEMENTS

Although his international career ended with a heartbreaking semifinal loss to New Zealand in the 2019 World Cup, Dhoni is at peace with his legacy. Over a distinguished 15-year career, he led India to three major ICC trophies: the T20 World Cup in 2007, the ODI World Cup in 2011, and the Champions Trophy in 2013.

FOCUSING ON CSK: DHONI’S CURRENT ROLE AND FUTURE PLANS

While Dhoni briefly returned as a mentor during the 2021 T20 World Cup, his focus now remains firmly on his role with CSK and his life beyond the cricket field.
