India's star pacer Jasprit Bumrah continues to shine on the international stage, cementing his position as the top-ranked bowler in the ICC Men's Test Bowling Rankings. Following a sensational nine-wicket haul for 94 runs in the rain-affected third Test against Australia in Brisbane, Bumrah has reached a career-high 904 rating points. This performance places him alongside Ravichandran Ashwin, who achieved the same rating in December 2016, making Bumrah the joint-highest-rated Indian Test bowler in ICC history.  

With one match remaining in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Bumrah now has the opportunity to surpass Ashwin's record in the final Test in Melbourne.  

ICC TEST RANKINGS UPDATES

- Bowling Rankings:

   South Africa's Kagiso Rabada and Australia's Josh Hazlewood occupy second and third spots, respectively, but remain far behind Bumrah's dominant points tally.  

- Batting Rankings:

   Australia's Travis Head continues his stellar form, climbing to fourth in the Men's Test Batting Rankings after a brilliant 152 at the Gabba. He now holds 825 points.  

   Steve Smith’s century in the third Test has propelled him back into the top 10, while India’s KL Rahul jumped 10 places to secure the 40th spot after his gritty performance.  

- All-Rounder Rankings:

   Australian skipper Pat Cummins has re-entered the top 10 all-rounders after contributing four wickets and a crucial 42 runs in the third Test.

ODI RANKINGS SHAKEUP

Heinrich Klaasen of South Africa saw a meteoric rise in the Men's ODI Batting Rankings, climbing to fifth after scoring three half-centuries in the series against Pakistan. Klaasen now holds 743 points. Pakistan’s rising star, Saim Ayub, impressed with two centuries in the same series, moving up from 70th to 23rd with 603 points.  

Ayub also made significant strides in the ODI All-Rounder Rankings, leaping 113 spots to 42nd, tied with America’s Steven Taylor, following his key contributions with the ball. Afghanistan's Azmatullah Omarzai also made waves, rising 43 places to 58th in the ODI Bowling Rankings and securing third place in the all-rounder rankings after a six-wicket haul against Zimbabwe.  

T20I RANKINGS HIGHLIGHTS

Bangladesh's dominance during their 3-0 T20I series victory over the West Indies was evident in the latest rankings.  

- Mahedi Hasan climbed into the top 10 of the T20I Bowling Rankings, reaching 10th place.  

- West Indies’ Roston Chase moved up 11 spots to 13th, while Bangladesh's Rishad Hossain and Hasan Mahmud surged to 17th and 24th, respectively.  

The updated ICC rankings reflect stellar individual performances across formats, showcasing players rising to the occasion in critical moments. With multiple series on the horizon, the rankings are expected to witness further shakeups.
