South Africa, Griqualand West/Northern Cape, Knights/Free State, Warriors, South Africa A, Paarl Rocks, Sunrisers Eastern Cape
A fearless basher in the shortest format of the sport, Patrick Kruger is a handy all-rounder who plays for the Knights. In September, 2018, Patrick Kruger notched up his highest T20 score of 86* while playing for Northern Cape against Nigeria. The Africa T20 Cup match at Paarl was won by Northern Cape as a result of Kruger's dazzling knock that included five boundaries and seven maximums. Along with Gift Mokoena, he added 128 runs for the opening wicket and Northern Cape won the T20 contest by 8 wickets with 30 balls to spare. Apart from being a powerful hitter in the shortest format, Patrick also has a century each in his first-class and List-A career. While playing for Knights in the Sunfoil Series at East London (March 2018), Kruger scored 44 & 87 in the match against Warriors. Only a few days earlier, in the first week of March, Kruger had scored 102 against the Lions in the same tournament. Although both the matches ended in a draw, Kruger had done his bit with the bat. He loves to play T20 more than the other two formats and his average of 30-plus in T20s is a clear example of that.
