Auckland, South Australia, Warwickshire, Australia A, Sussex Sharks, Prime Minister's XI, New South Wales, Sydney Thunder
Hailing from Wollongong, New South Wales, Nathan McAndrew shot into limelight when he played a couple of games for Sydney Thunder in BBL 05. An amateur player, Nathan came in as an injury replacement player in the middle of the season for Pat Cummins and was immediately thrown at the deep end of things. In the following season, h signed a full contract with Sydney Thunder. A product of the Thunder academy, Nathan McAndrew plies his trade at the Bankstown District Cricket Club. Nathan also made his debut in the Plunket Shield playing for Auckland. As a right-arm medium fast bowler and a capable lower-order batsman, McAndrew featured in three games for Auckland. A 65 with the bat and a couple of wickets with the ball ensured his debut was a memorable one. After first being called up by the New South Wales for the 2019-20 Marsh Cup, McAndrew signed for South Australia in the 2021/22 season and made his first-class debut against Western Australia. He also played for Warwickshire and Sussex in county cricket. By Kumar Abhisekh Das
