About Player
Opening batter Mikyle Louis earned his first West Indies call-up for the tour of England in 2024 after impressing in first-class cricket. Representing Leeward Islands, he was the top run-scorer in the 2023-24 season of the West Indies Championship, his debut in the format, with 682 runs at an average of 48.71. He scored three centuries and four fifties in his 14 innings. The Test debut came at Lord's. He didn't quite achieve what he would have hoped for, but did top-score in West Indies' first innings with 27 (out of 121). Louis was in the news well before he made his first-class and international debut when, back in August 2021, during the Covid-19 pandemic, he was forced to leave the St Kitts & Nevis Patriots set-up at the CPL for leaving the bio-bubble at the team hotel without permission.
