Tasmanian Tigers/Tasmania, Cricket Australia XI, Sydney Thunder, Hobart Hurricanes
Jake Doran is a left-handed wicket-keeper batsman who played for Australia Under-19s. He has gone on to represent Tasmania and Sydney Thunder as well. He has played for New South Wales too. In fact, he created history in the summer of 2013-14 when he broke Doug Walter’s record as the youngest player ever to represent the New South Wales Second XI, debuting at the age of 16. He made his first class debut in March 2015 for Tasmania in a Sheffield Shield game against Western Australia. He played for a Cricket Australia XI against the touring English side in 2013-14. His most notable achievement has been that he was the highest run-scorer for Australia in the 2014 Under-19 World Cup. He signed up with the Sydney Thunder team in the KFC Big Bash League in 2014-15 making him the youngest player in the league. However, chances were hardly meted out to him and he played only a single game in his debut season of the BBL. He missed out on the entire season in 2015-16, when Sydney pocketed the championship but returned for the next season only to feature in 3 games. He would be hoping for a more fruitful season in the 2017-18 season of BBL having been in good form in the Shield games. By Kumar Abhisekh Das
