Born on 22nd May 1993, Irfan Sukkur is a talented wicket-keeper batsman doing the rounds in the domestic arena. The lefty from Chittagong made his first-class debut for his home team Chittagong Division in 2010 as a proper batsman at No. 3. He found the going tough, but the 2013-14 season proved to be a decent one for Sukkur. He scored more than 300 runs in front of the wicket and scalped 17 dismissals behind the stumps. With his ability to keep wickets an additional feature in his game, the selectors will have an eye on Irfan. If he can raise the average over 35, it will only be a matter of time before he gets to play for the national team. By Abhinand Raghavendran
