19-year old Harry Tector is an Irish all-rounder who made his first-class debut in May 2018 for the Northern Knights during the Cricket Ireland Inter-Provincial Championship at Comber. On his debut, Tector had scores of 10 & 22 against Leinster Lightning and also claimed three wickets in the same match with his handy off-breaks. Tector was named as the rising star of Ireland's squad following the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup wherein he took 8 wickets and emerged as the leading wicket-taker in the tournament. One of Harry's recent prolific performances came against Sri Lanka A where the youngster played a superb knock of 103 when his team was in trouble but unfortunately ended on the losing side as the opposition chased down a competitive target of 269 within 31 overs and made it appear like a stroll in the park. Tector's batting average in the limited-over formats is far better as compared to first-class cricket and he was also named in Ireland's T20I squad for the Oman Quadrangular Series in addition to the series against Afghanistan recently. The youngster didn't get a chance to feature in the playing XI but with age by his side and talent to showcase he'll soon be seen in Irish colors at the international level.
