New Zealand Women
Born in Palmerston North, Rowe grew up in a diary farm in Manawatu and started playing cricket since she was eight years old. Watching her brother play in the backyard, Rowe picked up the game from there. She recalls the backyard cricket as being 'very competitive'. A lanky right-arm medium pace bowler, Rowe made her debut as a teen for the White Ferns in a One-Day International (ODI) against England in 2015. Rowe uses her height as an advantage to hit the back of length spot and was coached by the late Mike Shrimpton at the Central Hinds province. Rowe has had some stiff competition from Tahuhu and Huddleston and hence has played only a few games. However, the selectors thought she was worthy enough to be in the squad for the 2017 World Cup in England. Interesting fact: Rowe is still studying and is a student at Massey University - Palmy.
