With a highest score of 149 and nearly 100 wickets in first-class cricket, Ferisco Adams was named in the Cape Cobras squad in June 2018. Having made his debut for Boland in 2012, Adams has a fair amount of experience in first-class, List-A and T20s. The all-rounder has a decent first-class batting average in the 30s along with a 10-wicket haul that came against Eastern Province in March 2018. Ferisco bagged four wickets in the first innings, six wickets in the second innings and icing on the cake was his knock of 44 batting at number 6. The skipper led from front and helped Boland notch up a 3-wicket win in this Sunfoil 3-Day Cup encounter against Northern Province.A month before, in February 2018, Adams played another outstanding knock where he scored 125* off only 108 deliveries against KwaZulu-Natal. That game was won by an even bigger margin as Boland crushed the opposition by an innings and 26 runs. Comparatively new in the Cape Cobras team, Adams is a gifted cricketer who can chip in with his all-round offerings and not to forget about his leadership skills that make him a unique player.Adams is nicknamed 'The Ice Man' in the Cobras set-up for as he has the ability to hold his nerves in pressure situations. The pacer loves the challenge to bowl in the death overs and is a useful hitter in the back end of the innings. His game is ideal for T20s and the all-rounder was roped in by Cape Town Blitz for the inaugural Mzansi Super League. In September 2019, he was picked by Paarl Rocks for the second edition of the MSL.Adams, who has come a long way since winning the CSA Rural Cricketer of the year in 2014, would be keen to seal his place in the Cobras' line-up.
