Mumbai, Kolkata Knight Riders
Angkrish Raghuvanshi is a 20-year-old right-handed top-order batter with a good technique. He has a lazy elegance about him which makes him a treat to watch. Angkrish basically hails from Delhi but moved to Mumbai when he was just 11 to pursue a career in the world of cricket. He started training under the watchful eyes of Abhishek Nayar and Omkar Salvi. Soon after, he shifted to Mumbai permanently. Angkrish was India’s top run-getter at the 2022 U19 World Cup in the Caribbean, in which India also lifted the trophy. Angkrish finished as the fourth top run-getter in the tournament with 278 runs in six innings. He made his T20 and List A debuts for Mumbai in the 2023-24 season. Kolkata Knight Riders secured his services for INR 20 lakh before IPL 2024. The young batter showed his potential in his first innings of the tournament as he struck a brilliant fifty at No. 3 against Delhi Capitals in Visakhapatnam.
