While Bangladesh have produced some raw talent of late, Abu Hider has managed to carve a niche for himself through his pace. For a country that has not produced an outright pace bowler, Hider is a welcome change. He first shot to the scene in 2012 after rising through the age group cricket. While the national call seemed distant, he was selected by the BPL side Comilla Victorians in 2015. Abu impressed immediately with his pace and ability to deliver pin point yorkers. The selectors showed faith in him and he was awarded a place in the national T20 side in 2016. However, he could not cement his place in the side and was dropped soon.He was picked up by Dhaka Dynamites for the 2017 edition of the BPL.
